She was predeceased by: her parents, Owen William and Helena Frances Bunch Garnes; and her brothers, Robert Garnes and James Garfield Garnes. She is survived by: her husband Arius Hurt of Rio Grande; her children, Brian Edward Hurt (Carrie) of Gallipolis and Sharon Gailhurt of Columbus; her grandchildren, Gabrielle Mankin, Brian Christopher Hurt, Savannah Nicole Hurt and Christopher James Vanmeter; her siblings, John Elbert Garnes (Juanita) of Crown City, Owen William Garnes (Sonseerhay) of Gallipolis, George Franklin Garnes (Kathy) of Cheshire, Roberta Annette Garnes of Gallipolis and Rose Marie Garnes of Gallipolis; and her aunt Mary Cordell of Bidwell. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Forest Run Baptist Church in Martha's memory.
