He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pearl and Marjorie Mae Davis Shaver; his son Wayne Shaver; and his siblings, Ora "Bub" Shaver, Ray Shaver and Juanita Sergent.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Eads Shaver of Gallipolis; his daughters, Candy Sheets (Allan) and Wanda Armstrong; his grandchildren, Emma, James Sheets, Ashley Thomas (Mark), Mike Eblin (Brittany) and Whitney Foster; his brother Jim Shaver; and his close friends, Michelle, Nick Henderson and Sharyn Bastiani. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
