He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Thacker and Birdie Dempsey Thacker; his grandson Brady Jean Thacker; and his siblings, Harold Thacker, Sam Thacker, Edgar Dotson, Elmer Dempsey, Oscar Ray Dempsey and Bonnie Thacker.
He is survived by: his close friend Linda Brothers; and his children, Austin Thacker, Donald Zeke Thacker Jr. (Lori), Dona Thacker and Aaron Thacker (Carla). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
