He was predeceased by: his parent Bonny G. Sanders Saunders; and his former wife Lori Ann Smith (Saunders). He is survived by: his father Richard H. Saunders of Gallipolis; his children, Tiffany Saunders (Darrell Poare) of Chillicothe, Michael Saunders (Jenny Tipple) of Gainesville, Megan Gilmore Peterson of Cincinnati and Desiree "Desi" Patterson of Rutland, Ohio; his grandchildren, Kori'Anna Kori Saunders, Jae Alexia Poare, Darren Ale'xander Poare, Davi'Anna Alexandra Poare, Kylee Saunders, Logan Brinson, Ayden Brinson, Ethan Brinson and Shelby Peterson; and his siblings, Densie Menzel (Fred) of Gallipolis and Kelly Frye (Eddie) of Gallipolis.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Willis Funeral Home (12 Garfield Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ridgelawn Cemetery (5404 Bladen Rd, Gallipolis, OH 45623).
