He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben O. Russell and Norma Russell; his siblings, Barbara Ann Thompson, Melba Wice and Bradyn Russell; his daughters, Elizabeth (Tom Mazey) and Vanessa (Virgil Queen); and his son-in-law Jerry Hill.
He is survived by: his wife Frances J. Saunders Russell of Gallipolis; his children, Mike Russell (Julie) of Rio Grande, Scott Russell (Peggy) of Rio Grande, Joseph Russell (Sherry) of Patriot, Tom Brown of Gallipolis and Eileen Hill of Gallipolis; and his brother Rudy Russell (Ann) of Citrus Springs, FL.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home (810 2nd Ave, Gallipolis, OH 45631). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
