He was predeceased by: his parents, Ural Vinson and Velvy Howard Vinson; and his siblings, Patricia, Ural, Richard and Roy.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Vinson Murphy Allen of Columbus, Cecil Glendon Vinson Jr. (Lisa) of South Point and Kimberly Taylor (James) of Concord, NC; his stepchildren, Debra Holland Howell of Cincinnati and Billy Holland of Gallipolis; and his brother Calvin Vinson of Scott Depot, WV. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
