He is survived by: his wife Laverne Phillips Spires; his son Mark; his daughter-in-law Lisa Spires of Gallipolis; his grandchildren, Holly Clifford (Charles), Jeremy Partlow (Bicetta), David Spires, Kyle Kurtz and Samantha Jeffrey; his great grandchildren, Jaden, Bryson, Cally, Charles, Cameron, Carlee and Myra; his brothers, Roger Spires of Worthington and Terry Spires of Yorktown, Indiana; and his nephew Ryan Spires.
