We are sad to announce that on July 26, 2023, at the age of 67, Pamela McGowan of Galion, Ohio, born in Bucyrus, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Charleston and Patricia Charleston (Barlekamp); her husband Charles "Charlie" Staats; and her brother Jimmy Charleston. She is survived by: her children, Heather Goodyear (Jack) of Galion and Jake McGowan (Amber) of Galion; her grandchildren, Austin (Mercedes), Kevin, Zoey, Olyvia, Madison, Grace, Shelby and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Aubree and Bentley; and her siblings, Paul Charleston, Steve Englehorn (Fern), Mitzi Vensel and Janet Vensel. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“I was saddened to learn of Pam's passing. As neighbors, she and her family were the first people I met when I moved to Galion. Pam was our babysitter for several years and as an adult, became our friend. Although we were out of touch in recent years, my family and I have fond memories of those times. To her loved ones, please accept my most sincere condolences in this time of sorrow.”
