He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth L. Swain and Faith B. Swain (Mackey); his son David Swain; and his siblings, John, Richard Swain, Catherine Easterday (Dennis) and Bonnie Anschutz (Adam).
He is survived by: his wife Helen Swain (Patton); his grandchildren, Nicholas and Tavia Swain; his great grandchildren, Malik, Zavon Mills and Janai Troutman; his sister Karen Lightfoot (Paul); and his sisters-in-law, Jo Swain and Corkey Swain. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
