He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence M. Montgomery and Ethel M. Montgomery (Kibbey); and his siblings, Alva Sutton, Virgil "Bud" Montgomery, Albin "Tom" Montgomery, Hal Montgomery, Owen R. Montgomery (Vietnam) and Maxine Potter.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Simpson (James) of Fredericktown, Ohio, Melissa Montgomery of Warren, Michigan, Russel Montgomery (Laurie) of Galion, Ohio, Catherine Bash of Marion, Ohio and David Montgomery (Grethe) of Vale; and his brother George. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
