He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl D. Weithman and Margaret Weithman (Bogner). He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Berta" Weithman (Dickerson); his children, Carla Carmel (Tab) of Galion, Amy Flaherty (Mike) of Bucyrus, Jeff Weithman of Galion and Vicki Leibengood (Chris) of Galion; and his grandchildren, Candy Gilfilen (Michael), Melinda Lanker (Brad), Tab Carmel (Kelly), Jake Leibengood (Taylor), Casey Flaherty, Mack Flaherty, Cullen Cook, Megan Phillips (Jordan) and Jacob Flaherty. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and three brothers.
