She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph A. LaForest and Alexina LaForest (LeBel); and her siblings, Maurice, Pauline, Roger and Robert LaForest.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Nelson; her children, Steven Nelson (Francine), Kevin Nelson (Ilda), Michele Kahler (Lonnie) and Pam Diosi (Don); her grandchildren, Christy Linton (Wesley), Richard Nelson (Annette), Cheri Wintersteller (Scott), Tricia Skeel (David), Scott Kahler (Mallory), Kylie Narance and Aaron Narance; her great grandchildren, Greta, Van, Alyssa, Alayna, Colton and Peyton; and her siblings, Gilberta "Chick" Farnwalt, Patrick LaForest and Jean Miller. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
