He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Grooms and Lena Kerr Grooms. He is survived by: his wife Alice Faye Hayslip Grooms; his children, Maxie Carl Grooms Jr. and Vicky Lynn Arthur (Larry); his grandchildren, Joshua Grooms (Kristin), Jessica Moore (Joshua) and Bradly Grooms (Angelina); his great grandchildren, Kaly, Kinly, Lilly, Aiden and Ellie; and his siblings, Ronald Grooms (Sheryl) and Mary Nesbit. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
