He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy E. Gilmore (Snyder); his brothers, Robert Gilmore and John Gilmore; and his close friend Buzzy Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Rosalie J. Gilmore (Maple); his children, Richard V. Gilmore, Jr. (Nikki) of Bladensburg, Scott Gilmore (Sheryll) of West Lafayette, Julia Leiendecker (Brad) of Hilliard and LaVonne Durben (Robert) of Coshocton; his sister Georgia Gilmore; and his close friend Ron Royer of Coshocton In. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
