It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Scherer (Fresno, Ohio), born in Strasburg, Ohio, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Scherer and Bernice Scherer (Reiss); his siblings, Carl Scherer (Donna), Raymond Scherer and Florence Corbett (Chuck); his son John Scherer; his stepson Curtis Wright; and his grandson Chris Scherer.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Scherer (Sibert); his children, Karen Mizer (Ray), Anita Pearch, Cherlyn Leppla (Matt), Keith Scherer (Trudy) and Craig Scherer; his stepchildren, Carla Baumer (Chuck), Cris Ramsey (Shawn), Clint Wright (Elizabeth) and Charee Noe (Brian); his sister Verdella Lowery; his sisters-in-law, Joan Scherer, Bess VanAtta and Joan Glimore (John); and also Chuck. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great children, and a great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be directed towards Interim Hospice of Coshocton, envelopes will be available at the church.
