He was predeceased by: his father Richard Karlovetz; his brothers-in-law, Gary Wright and Rob Bess; and his parents-in-law, Robert "Bob" Bess and Cinda "Carol" Bess.
He is survived by: his mother Barbara Karlovetz (Halbisen); his girlfriend Dianna Bess of Fremont; his siblings, Sharon Wright of Fremont, John Karlovetz of Fremont and William "Bill" Karlovetz (Carolyn) of Fremont; his nieces and nephews, Casey Wright (Amber), Ann Marie Wright, Jennifer Shoemake (Jason), Brooke Hauser (Jeremy), Mackenzie Shoemake, Ava Jones, Makayla Shoemake, Cooper Hauser and Sterling Hauser; his great-nephew Abel; and his sisters-in-law, Teresa Jones (Mike) and Jill Bess.
Memorials can be made in Steve's honor to American Heart Association.
