He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ackerman and Estella Ackerman (Bundschuh); his wife Raye June; and his siblings, John, Pete, Thomas, James, Rita, Mary, Norma, Roseline, Eva Eberly and Hildegad Dempsey.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian K. Ackerman and Allen R. Ackerman (Lisa).
