It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Mary VanWey (Fremont, Ohio), born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Kathleen Mary may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen O'Blenis and Esther O'Blenis Dotts (Haynes); her stepfather Steven Dotts; her sister-in-law Sue O'Blenis; her in-law Lois VanWey; and her sister-in-law Sherry Laux (Mike).
She is survived by: her husband Dennis VanWey; and her daughter Jessica VanWey of Gibsonburg.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory (425 E State St, Fremont, OH 43420). A rosary will be held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (709 Croghan St, Fremont, OH 43420).
Memorials can be made in her honor to Birchard Public Library Children's Department, St. Joseph Catholic Church, or Heartland Hospice all of Fremont.
