It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Thanasiu of Fremont, Ohio, who passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Thanasiu and Murva Thanasiu (Williams); his wife Shirley Thanasiu; his daughter Katrina Thanasiu; and his granddaughter Justice Pickle.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Repass (Jamie), Chasity Waters and Sarah Kolinski; his stepchildren, Allen Shorts, Pamela Moyes (Larry), Luke Shorts, Lynn LeJune (Brian) and David Shorts; his grandchildren, Shawna, Miranda, Brady, Brianna, Paula, Julian, Jordan, Kaiden, Avalon, Josh, Elantra and Delorean; and his siblings, Willard Thanasiu, Judy Barnett, Jim Thanasiu, Jerry Thanasiu, Kim Thanasiu and Jeff Thanasiu. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
