With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Bertsch (Fremont, Ohio), who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward L. Bertsch and Helen F. Bertsch (Holmer); his wife Jean A. Potter; and his sister Leona "Birdie" Laurer. He is survived by: his children, Becky McDevitt (Sean) and David Bertsch; his grandchildren, Sydney Bertsch, Andrew Bertsch, Katie Carstens (Patric) and Meredith McDevitt; and his great grandchildren, Eleanor and Charlotte.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory (900 North St, Fremont, OH 43420). A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sandusky Township Fire Department, 2205 Oak Harbor Rd. Fremont, OH 43420.
