He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert G. DeRan and Eula DeRan (Baugher); and his brothers, James and Thomas DeRan. He is survived by: his wife Linda Jean DeRan (Sanford); his daughters, Dawn Renee DeRan of Dublin, Michelle Marlene Saltzman of Van Buren and Melissa Lin DeRan (Lisa Hardej-DeRan) of Brunswick; his grandchildren, David Joseph Darr, Leah Michelle Rochester (Darr), Dominique Renee Schonhiutt (Darr), Tyler Joseph Saltzman, Mackenzie Renee Saltzman, Cassandra Lin Saltzman, Isabelle Jean DeRan, Logan Francis Hardej and James Tyler DeRan; his sister Cassandra Molyet (Ronald) of Fremont; and his sister-in-law Barbara DeRan of Findlay. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the P.M. Gilmor Community Park in Fort Seneca or to the charity of the donor's choice.
