It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlie Shorty Jr. of Fremont, Ohio, born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Shorty, and Ida Mae Shorty, Sr. (Hoskins); and his siblings, Issac Shorty, Mary Alice Freeman, Ida Lee Minniefield, Catherine Brownlee Shorty and Dorothy Shorty.
He is survived by: his close friend Sue Walker; his children, Tasha Walker of Fremont and Charlie Shorty III of Fremont; his grandchildren, Sharissa Collins, Averyanna, Tanisha and Cherish Shorty; his stepdaughters, Thelma of Fremont and Shanna Walker of Fremont; and his sister Addie Pearl Shorty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
