Burkhart W. Tischler Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Burkhart W. Tischler of Fremont, Ohio, who passed away on December 28, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burkhart "Bill" Tischler and Mary Margaret Tischler (Rich); his wife Karol "Kay" Thomsen Courtney; his former wife Claudia Tischler; his children, Eric Tischler and Annette Marie Tischler; and his sister Patricia Weider.
He is survived by: his sons, Kent Tischler (Mindy) of Cape Coral, FL and David Tischler (Beth) of Clyde, OH; his brother Dennis Tischler (Kathy); and his grandchildren, Tyler Tischler, Macy LaBrie (Brandon), Ellie Tischler, Kayla and Aiden Tischler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory (425 E State St, Fremont, OH 43420). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (709 Croghan St, Fremont, OH 43420).
Memorials can be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, SJCC or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
