With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alice Watson (Fremont, Ohio), born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on February 17, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Rethinger and Agnes Rethinger; her husband Richard Watson; her siblings, Rev. Omar Rethinger, Mary Welch, Paul Rethinger and James Rethinger; her in-laws, Orville Welch, Charles and Charlotte McCachren; and her stepson Robert Watson.
She is survived by: her sister Doctor (Alice Rethinger Watson); her stepchildren, Michael Watson (Diane) of Marion, Mark Watson (Rhonda) of Fremont, Julie Watson of Fremont and Rick Watson (Linda) of Fremont; her grandchildren, Megan Watson (Nik), Alexander Watson (Kate), Jordan Watson (Brian) and Cory Watson; and her in-laws, Rolland, Karen Watson, Glen, Sandra Watson and Susie Rethinger.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory (900 North St, Fremont, OH 43420). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (1021 W State St, Fremont, OH 43420).
Donations in Alice's name may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis, Tiffin or to the Sisters of Mercy, Fremont.
