He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Eugene and Edith Hines (Dunkle); and his siblings, Larry Hines and Harriett Chaney. He is survived by: his wife Louise (Ortenzo); his children, Charlotte Hines (Mark Bryan) and Ronald "Ryan" Hines (Julie Householder); his grandchildren, Amanda Runyon (Ronnie), Shawna Morris, Spencer Hines (Latoya) and Sydney Hines; his great grandchildren, Braylee and Cambri; his siblings-in-law, Bill Chaney and Judy Hines; and his close friends, Fluffy and Sammy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his dear animal.
