He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lynn Nelson (Smith); his sons, Jamie Nelson of Fredericktown, Michael Nelson (Kerry) of Lexington and Dusty Thompson of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Ava and Ryan; his brother Thomas Nelson (Carol) of Tacoma, Washington; his niece April Smith of Mount Vernon; his nephew John Lawson of Newark; his siblings-in-law, Sandra Lawson (Fred) of Mount Vernon and Michael Smith of Mount Vernon; and his friend Roger Stricker (Cheryl) of Mount Vernon.
