The memory of David Compton of Fredericktown, Ohio, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, David E. Compton and Leona Compton (Hess); his stepfather Angle; his wife Virgie E. Baldwin; and his siblings, Clobues, Edvert Compton, Ruth Compton, Edith Rhea, Ruby Nutz and Loraine Corns.
He is survived by: his children, David E. Compton of Fredericktown, Darrell Compton of Fredericktown, Marsha McGrew (Frank) of Mount Gilead, Jeff Compton (Tammy) of Mount Vernon and Debbie Wilkinson (Jim) of Fredericktown; and his siblings, Doug Compton (Evelyn) of Florida and Alice Anderson of Centerburg. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Woodbury Freewill Baptist Church.
