She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Barkman and Elizabeth Barkman (Schlabach). She is survived by: her husband Paul H. Shetler; her children, David, Virginia of Fredericksburg, Mary, Mahlon Leid of Mertztown, James of Dalton, Ohio, Bob of Dalton, Ohio, Brenda of Dalton, Ohio, Dennis of Dalton, Ohio, Melissa of Dalton, Ohio, Lawrence, Monica of Perrysville, Marcus, Elaine of Campbellsburg and Marlan of Fredericksburg, Ohio; her caregiver Sylvia Miller; her brother Melvin Barkman; and her sisters-in-law, Amanda Stutzman (David), Verna Barkman, Edna (Raymond Miller) and Ada Barkman. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ages Mennonite Church (4451 S Kansas Rd, Apple Creek, OH 44606). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
