He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Hounshell and Remedios "Ping" Hounshell; his grandparents, Leslie and Maudie Hounshell; his stepmother Sylvia Hounshell; his children, Priscella Hounshell, Bryan and Thomas Hounshell; and his brothers, Bobby Hounshell and Bill Hounshell.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jo Hounshell; his brothers, Carl Hounshell (Shirley) and Johnny Hounshell; his sister-in-law Vickie Hounshell; and his stepsister Shirley Binkley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
