He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lewis and Eva Lynnette Shupert (Dean); and his sister Patricia Florence. He is survived by: his significant other Marjorie Shupert (Amsler); his grandchildren, Erica Kirby (Matt) and Collin Kilbane; his great grandchild Chloe; his grandchildren, Brianna Kilbane, Brian Schapp, Mariah Kruse, Shaunna and Hannah Kirby; and his siblings, Jim Shupert and Susan Bieller.

Visitation was held on Monday, February 12th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (500 E 2nd St, Franklin, OH 45005). A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St Paul Lutheran Church (500 E 2nd St, Franklin, OH 45005).

Memorial contributions in Dean's name may be made to St Paul Lutheran Church at 500 E 2nd Street, Franklin, OH 45005 or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, Ohio 45420.
