With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Kent Sandlin of Franklin, Ohio, born in Richmond, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David Kent left this world on April 14, 2025 at the age of 62, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Dean Sandlin and Alice Sandlin (Banta); his grandmother Treva Banta; his brother Donald Shumaker; his former wife Darlene Sandlin (Stewart); his brother-in-law Jeffery Hill; and his fathers-in-law, Nathaniel Stewart and Edwin D. Bowling.
He is survived by: his wife Leah Danielle Sandlin (Bowling); his children, Logan Elias Daniel Sandlin, Brandon David Sandlin of Cincinnati and Andrea Grace Mingledorff (Jonathan) of Savannah, Georgia; his grandchildren, J. Luke, Tate and Joanna Mingledorff; and his siblings, George Sandlin (Beth) of Englewood, Teresa Hill of West Alexandria and Sharon Heck (Ed) of Valley Center. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Redemption Pentecostal Church (650 Harrison Ave, Franklin, OH 45005). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mill Dam Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Outreach Ministries at Redemption Pentecostal Church or Germantown Christian School Scholarship Fund.
