Catherine South Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Catherine South of Franklin, Ohio, who passed away on June 6, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Catherine had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Catherine may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her husband Alexander South; and her son Leonard Alexander South. She is survived by: her daughter Theronica Oakley (David); and her grandchildren, Catlyn Joyce Altman (Coral) and Grant Alexander Oakley.

In Lieu of flowers, Catherine's wishes were to donate backpacks or school supplies to Madison Local Schools in honor of her passion for teaching.
