He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazen Lakes and Emma Lakes (Lane); his wife Betty Lakes; his children, Joyce Turner and Rick Lakes; and his brother Earl.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Fluegeman and Scarlett Sarbaugh. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home (1357 E 2nd St, Franklin, OH 45005). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
