He is survived by: his wife Mary Christine Hughes Nelson; his son Timothy Nelson of Reynoldsburg, OH; and his siblings, David Nelson (Barbara) of Mt. Airy, NC and Pamela Nelson Wasmundt (Robert) of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
