He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Boyd and Pearl Jordan Wellman; his former wife Lavonda; his children, Robert Edward, Serena Sue and Shad Robert Wellman; and his brothers, Jimmy, Adrian and Ronnie.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Hopkins Wellman; his granddaughter Madison Sheets of Holly Springs, NC.; his siblings, Don Wellman (Glenna) of West Portsmouth, OH, Woodrow Jordan (Judy) of West Portsmouth, OH and Wilma Jean Messer (Michael) of Scottsville, KY; and his son Kevin Wellman.
