He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Blanton and Nannie Vanhorn Blanton; and his wife Doris Arthur Blanton. He is survived by: his brothers, Albert and George Blanton; his siblings-in-law, John Patrick, Jack Gentry, Chester Willis, William Castle, Richard Riffitt, Bethany Holbrook, Gereline Riffitt, Wilma Castle and Lorraine Blanton; his son Jimmy; his daughter-in-law Krista Blanton of Scott Depot, WV; his daughter Amber; his son-in-law Garret McCalvin of Franklin Furnace, OH.; his grandson Kiefer McCalvin of Franklin Furnace, OH.; his siblings, Clarence Blanton of Oak Hill, OH., Stella Rawlins and Barbara Willis of Ironton, OH.; and his siblings-in-law, Lorraine Patrick of Franklin Furnace, OH, Daphne Gentry (Tim Holbrook) of Kitts Hill, OH., Tony Arthur (Darlene) of Ashland, KY and Dallas Holbrook of Kitts Hill, OH.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions a graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:00 P. M. in Haverhill Cemetery with Brother Joe Salyers officiating.
