He was predeceased by: his parents, John Watson Wilburn and Sylvia Vaughn Wilburn. He is survived by: his wife Johna Ann Rideout Wilburn; his children, John Elwood Wilburn (Becky), Carl Richard Wilburn Jr. (Tracy) and Ina Chaney (Gary); and his brother Tom Wilburn. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
