She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Carter and Jane Cummings Carter; her brother Tony Carter; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Bakenhester and Debbie Rayburn.
She is survived by: her stepmother Pat Trimmer Carter. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, and nineteen great-nieces and nephews.
