He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Short and Mary Johnson Short; his grandson Jamie; and his brothers, Lonnie, Bill and Arthur.
He is survived by: his children, Serebrena Short of Lancaster, Kathy Schumaker-Penwell of Kennedy, NY and Toby Short of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Sabrina, Belinda, Christopher, Ashley, Amanda, Samantha, Tyler, Dustin and Ackyla; and his sisters, Marian Sue Secrest of Frankfort and Jodie Lynn Stack of Florida. He is also survived by several great - grandchildren.
