He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Caplinger and Helen Moody Caplinger; his stepfather Robert Burns; and his pets, Angus and Carlee Raye.
He is survived by: his sons, Jamie Caplinger (Amy) of Clarksburg and Andy Caplinger (Courtney) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Austin, Jordan, Tanner, Wesley and Raylee; his great grandchildren, Avah, Rosie and Lanie; and his brothers, Jim Burns (Julie) of Clarksburg and Rob Burns (Gloria Caplinger) of Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Ebright Funeral Home, to help the family with expenses.
