It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Joe Nye of Fostoria, Ohio, born in Carey, Ohio, who passed away on September 14, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Nye and Martha Nye (Potteiger); his stepfather Carl Shank; his brother Jack Nye; his sister-in-law Sue Nye; and his grandchildren, Heidi Hill and Dusty Hick.
He is survived by: his wife Darla Nye of Fostoria; his children, Tom Nye (Teresa) of Maumee, Rusty Nye of Fostoria, Darlene Delarosa (Omar) of Fostoria and Elizabeth Camper of Lake View; his brother Raymond Nye of Fostoria; his half-brothers, Bob, Jim and Steve Nye; his sister-in-law Janet Nye; and his grandchildren, Heather Ingling, Kelly, Mandy Mendoza, Ashley, Bailey Nye, Joey, Craig Ney, Jimmy Hill and Dalton Delarosa. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
