She was predeceased by: her father Ismael Bernal; and her siblings, Joe Bernal, Mike Bernal, Mario Bernal and Aurora "Birdie" Robinson.
She is survived by: her mother Maria Bernal (Carmona); her former husband Terrence F. "Terry" Hoening; her husband Abel Leal, Jr.; her children, Melissa T. Trout (John) and Terrence T. Hoening (Kelly); her grandson Cade Tobias Hoening; her stepson Michael D; her siblings, Marvin Bernal (Yolanda), Bob Bernal (Krista Hammer), Alice Gonzales (Butch), Raul Bernal (Rachel), Estela Bernal, John Bernal (Brenda) and Rose Valdez (Raymond); and her pet Pluto.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Wendelin Catholic Church or Cemetery Fund or to the Armes Family Cancer Care Center in care of the funeral home.
