She was predeceased by: her parent Marion Romig; and her husband Norman E. Steyer. She is survived by: her children, Michelle Humes (Charles), Stephen (Drema), Georgia and Joseph (Monica); and her siblings, Thomas Romig and Paula Gillen. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
