He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virgil Below and Ruth Below; his family A. P.; his wife Marilyn Below; his brothers, Roger (Shirley), Bill and Dennis (Karen); his children, Natalie Reisinger (James), LaRae McEwen III (Joseph "Joe"), Douglas Barker (Danielle), Jacqueline "Jackie" Gordon (Aaron) and Jennifer Cain (Evan); his grandchildren, Lauren, Brenden (Emerald), Bre, Camron, Linnea, Emalie, Isabelle, Noah, Lucas, Declan, Ronan and Corbin; and his great grandchildren, Konnie and Haisley.
