He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" W. Knaur and Margaret Maclean Knaur (Lingo); his sister Gretchen; his brother-in-law David Hill; and his daughter-in-law Jennifer Knaur (Zambito).
He is survived by: his son Jonathan P. Knaur (Laura); his stepgrandsons, Bennett, Jude and Roman of Worthington, OH; his daughter Rebecca Knaur of Champaign-Urbana, IL; his sister Christine Hill; his niece Sarah Burgess; his aunt Judy Davidson of Broken Arrow, OK; his stepmother Carol Knaur of Winter Park, FL.; and his former wife Peggy Fout (Patrick) of Upper Sandusky, OH.. He is also survived by four grandnieces and one grandnephew.
