He was predeceased by: his parents, John Young and Ruth Young (Walston); his wife Janice Hull; his son Richard "Rick" Young; his grandchildren, Richard, Ryan, Jeremy and Jeannie; and his brothers, Jimmy and Donald.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Young (Paula), Cheryl Hiller and Cindy Bohanon; and his sister Ada Collins. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
