He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer "Bud" and Marcella Painter (Frankart); and his brother James Painter. He is survived by: his wife June M. Piper; his children, Jennie Mueller (John) of Mentor, Julie Black (Bill) of Tiffin, Steven Painter (Cathy) and Michael Painter (Pamela) of Fostoria; and his siblings, Richard Painter of Fostoria, Jane Theis-Chaffe of Tiffin and Susie Davis of Arcadia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
