She was predeceased by: her parents, Donovan B. Hiser and Opal E. Hiser (Smith); her former husband Joe Johnson; her husband John Hartsel; her son Toby Joe Johnson; and her siblings, Jacquelyn, Richard "Dick", Thomas and Judy.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Hartsel of Tiffin, Marla Peiffer (Tim) of Tiffin and Marty Huffman (Steve) of Tiffin; and her grandchildren, Lindsay Winkler (Josh), Zach Peiffer, Lucas Hartsel, Brittany Egbert (Derek), Lauren Hartsel (Adam Benedict), Bethany Peiffer and Adam Huffman (Alisa). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
