With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilbert H. Gerlach of Fort Recovery, Ohio, born in New Weston, Ohio, who passed away on June 25, 2020 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gerlach and Elizabeth Gerlach (Behrens); his wife Ruth Gerlach (Meiring); his siblings, Joe Gerlach, Jake (Helen Gerlach), Tony (Margaret Gerlach), Mary (Wilfred Uhlenhake), Augusta (Cletus Reichert) and Bernie (Ray Hawkey); and his parents-in-law, Arnold Meiring, Verena, Tom Humenny, Lillian, Bernard Wahrer, William, Peg Meiring, Bernard Meiring, Joseph Meiring, John Hoffpauir and Pat Meiring.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen (Don Hart), Ken (Dianne Gerlach), Jim (Anne Gerlach), Gary Gerlach of Columbus, OH, Julie (Steve Bruns) and Tom (Diane Gerlach); and his parents-in-law, Esther Hoffpauir of Louisiana and Daniel Meiring of Centerville, OH.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
