We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2021, at the age of 81, Alvin A. Wendel of Fort Recovery, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Wendel and Elenora Wendel (Homan); his son David; his grandchildren, Devin and Marissa Wendel; his parents-in-law, Aloys and Eleanor Homan (Schulte); his siblings, Novella Lauber (Albert), Ermin Wendel (Regina), Thelma Schindler (Irvin), Werner Wendel (Patricia) and Virgil Wendel; his sisters-in-law, Joan Wendel and Etsuko Homan; and also, Gerald Homan, Millie Boehmer, Joe Keller and Herb Homan.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Ann Wendel (Homan); his children, Steve Wendel (Amy) of Ft. Recovery, Cathy Brockman (Mark) of Ft. Recovery, Dan Wendel (Theresa) of Ft. Recovery, Sharon Fortkamp (Kevin) of Ft. Recovery, Linda Nietfeld (Jeff) of Ft. Recovery, Marilyn Rammel (Roger) of Ft. Recovery, Chuck Wendel (Tricia) of St. Henry, Barb Alig (Randy) of Ft. Recovery, Eric Wendel (Amy) of Ft. Recovery, Joe Wendel (Mary) of St. Henry and Alan Wendel (Kristen) of Vandalia; his siblings, Imelda Wilker (Jerome) of New Bremen, Elmer Wendel of Ft. Recovery and Melvin Wendel of Coldwater; his brother-in-law Eugene Homan of California; and also, Delores Homan, Janet, Jim McEldowney, Jim Boehmer, Eileen, Art Dapore, Mary Keller, Charlene Homan, Carolyn, Dave Kreischer, Doris and Phil Sheffer. He is also survived by his 44 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
